Note to self...

• If you’re having a rough day, don’t assume that you’re having a rough life—step back and try to see the big picture. You probably won’t feel the same way tomorrow. Thank God for what you have today, pray lots, and try not to talk to anyone who’s not positive.
• God is so faithful and He always surprises you with small kindnesses when you’re not expecting them. (And usually when you’re being a pain in the butt and don’t deserve it in the least bit)
• Defiance is different than a mistake.
• The point is not discipline, but to help create a safe, happy, obedient child who loves God. Sometimes love and patience are as effective as punishment.
• Just because you are excited to paint, don’t rush the actual painting and invest your time in the prep work. You make it harder on yourself when you rush into it!
• Don’t ever forget the love in a three-toothed grin.
